After a year of behind-the-scenes work with GMK, I’m happy to announce a new in-stock set on their website:

GMK CYL Quaderno; a playful, retro-inspired set paying homage to the Olivetti Quaderno terminal.

In-stock and available exclusively on the GMK shop!

Both the Grand Base Kit and a more affordable TKL Base Kit are available, with free shipping on orders over €125.

I’ve heard from others that there are no tariffs on US orders when ordering from GMK, although I can’t fully confirm this.

Tip:

The nine media icon novelties pair perfectly with any 2×3 or 3×3 macropad.

The Olivetti Quaderno (“Quaderno” translates to “Notebook” in English) was a compact subnotebook released in 1992, available in two versions: the Quaderno (PT-XT-20) and the Quaderno 33 (PT-AT-60). Designed to be lighter and smaller than typical laptops of the era, roughly the size of an A5 sheet and weighing just 1 kg, it introduced features ahead of its time, including a built-in microphone and integrated amplifiers. Its price reflected its exclusivity, selling for 1,390,000 Italian lire plus VAT. However, its initial release struggled due to software limitations that failed to maximize its hardware potential. In response, Olivetti quickly introduced the Quaderno 33, an improved model running Windows 3.1. Despite its challenges, the Olivetti Quaderno was recognized for its innovative design, winning the 1992 SMAU Industrial Design Award in Italy and the 1993 iF Product Design Award in Germany.

Which legends are UV-printed?

Like all GMK sets, the light blue secondary legends, the front prints and windowed keys are UV-printed. Every other legend, including the dot and media icon novelties are doubleshot.

What are the color codes?
